  2. Digital signature: Your wallet signs the transaction with your private key—a mathematical proof that you own the Bitcoin being sent
  3. Broadcast: The signed transaction is sent to the Bitcoin network
  4. Verification: Thousands of nodes check that your signature is valid and you have sufficient balance

The Blockchain
