Toncoin (Gram) Price Prediction 2026–2030: GRAM Scenarios — market chart and price analysis

Last updated: 26 October 2026

First, a naming note: Toncoin no longer exists under that name. On 15 June 2026 it was renamed Gram, with the ticker GRAM, while the blockchain is still called The Open Network (TON). Balances and wallets did not change. This Toncoin price prediction therefore covers GRAM, which traded around $1.21 on 26 October 2026, per CoinGecko, for a market cap of about $3.4 billion (rank 31). Below: the 2026 story, the large token unlocks ahead, and scenario ranges for 2026, 2027 and 2030.

Key takeaways

  • The token’s all-time high is $8.25, set on 14 June 2024. It is down about 85% from that peak and about 45% over 12 months.
  • Telegram took over as the network’s main steward and largest validator in May 2026. The token spiked to a 2026 closing high of about $2.72 on 8 May, then gave it all back.
  • Supply is set to rise sharply: about 37 million tokens a month (roughly 440 million a year) from the vesting Believers Fund, plus roughly 1.08 billion frozen early-miner tokens due for release around 21 February 2027.
  • Our end-2027 base case is about $1.14–$1.82, assuming roughly 4.4 billion tokens in circulation by then.
  • At today’s supply, $1 billion of market cap equals about $0.35 per token; by the end of 2027 it could be closer to $0.23.

From Telegram project to Gram: the price history

Telegram raised about $1.7 billion for its original blockchain in 2018, then abandoned it in 2020 after the SEC obtained an order blocking the token distribution. Independent developers relaunched the code as The Open Network, with Toncoin as its token. Its all-time low of about $0.52 came on 20 September 2021.

From 2023 Telegram moved closer to the project again: TON wallets appeared inside the messenger, and the network became the home of viral “tap-to-earn” Mini App games. The token rallied to $8.25 in June 2024, valuing it around $20 billion. Two months later Pavel Durov, Telegram’s founder, was detained in France as part of an investigation into criminal activity on the platform, and the token fell sharply. Telegram made TON the exclusive blockchain for Mini Apps in early 2025, but the gaming boom faded and the price kept sliding.

Date Price (approx.) Context
20 September 2021 $0.52 All-time low, per CoinGecko
14 June 2024 $8.25 All-time high during the Mini App boom
Late August 2024 Sharp drop Durov detained in France
1 January 2026 About $1.66 Start of the year
8 May 2026 About $2.72 2026 closing high after Telegram’s takeover announcement
26 October 2026 About $1.21 Price at writing, the lowest daily close of 2026

2026: Durov’s “Make TON Great Again” plan

Durov laid out a seven-step plan to revive the network. Step one, announced on 9 April, was the Catchain 2.0 consensus upgrade, which reports said cut block times from about 2.5 seconds to around 400 milliseconds. A sixfold cut in fees followed. On 4 May, Durov said Telegram would replace the Switzerland-based TON Foundation as the network’s main steward and run its largest validator. The token roughly doubled within days. The fourth step was the rebrand to Gram, approved by 81.22% of votes and completed on 15 June.

The rally did not last. By July the token was back below $1.50, and on 29 July Russia’s FSB charged Durov with terrorism-related offences, adding to the French investigation that remained open; he was questioned in France for a fourth time in July 2026. He has not been convicted in either country. The token now sits near its lowest level of the year, which tells you how much of the May move was sentiment rather than new demand.

What drives the token from here

Possible tailwinds

  • Telegram’s distribution: Telegram has around a billion monthly users. Even small growth in wallet use, Mini App payments or stablecoin transfers would be large in absolute terms.
  • Faster, cheaper chain: Sub-second blocks and lower fees make TON more competitive for payments and consumer apps.
  • Clearer ownership: With Telegram directly in charge, product decisions and network upgrades can move faster than under a foundation.
  • Remaining roadmap steps: Three of the seven steps were still unannounced at the time of writing, giving room for new catalysts.

Headwinds

  • Unlock overhang: CoinShares estimated in June 2026 that Believers Fund unlocks were adding about $90 million of supply a month at May prices, against roughly $30–50 million of observed buying absorption. The February 2027 release of frozen early-miner wallets is about 21% of total supply in a single event.
  • Founder legal risk: Investigations in France and charges in Russia involve the person who now effectively steers the network.
  • Centralisation: Telegram running the largest validator raises questions about how independent the chain is.
  • Thin DeFi: DefiLlama tracked about $45 million locked on TON in late October 2026, small for a network of this market cap.

Toncoin price prediction 2026 and 2027

Supply is the key input here. CoinGecko lists about 2.84 billion tokens in circulation. Adding two more monthly Believers Fund unlocks gives about 2.9 billion by the end of 2026, where $1 billion of value equals about $0.345 per token. For the end of 2027, we add a further year of unlocks plus the frozen-wallet release, for roughly 4.4 billion tokens, where $1 billion equals about $0.227. If those frozen tokens are not counted as circulating or are not sold, the 2027 prices below would be around 30% higher. Our explainer on market capitalisation shows how to run the numbers yourself.

Scenario Assumptions End-2026 (≈2.9B tokens) End-2027 (≈4.4B tokens)
Bear Unlocks keep outpacing demand; legal pressure on Durov intensifies; Mini App use keeps fading $2.3–3.0B → $0.79–$1.03 $2.5–4B → $0.57–$0.91
Base Slow market recovery; Telegram integration grows gradually; unlocks absorbed with some price pressure $3.2–4.2B → $1.10–$1.45 $5–8B → $1.14–$1.82
Bull Strong crypto cycle; remaining roadmap steps produce measurable growth in wallets, payments and fees; no adverse legal outcome $4.8–6.0B → $1.66–$2.07 $12–18B → $2.73–$4.09

Notice that the 2027 base case needs the market cap to grow by half or more just to hold today’s price, because of the extra supply. The bull case for 2027 assumes a valuation near the June 2024 peak, not a new record.

Toncoin price prediction 2030

By 2030 the Believers Fund will have finished vesting, so nearly all of the roughly 5.1 billion total supply should be circulating, plus a small amount of validator issuance. Using 5.3 billion tokens, $1 billion of market cap equals about $0.19 per token.

2030 scenario Assumptions Market cap Implied price
Bear Telegram de-emphasises crypto or faces regulatory limits; the token trades on residual speculation $2–4B $0.38–$0.75
Base TON becomes a steady payments rail inside Telegram, with modest token value capture $6–12B $1.13–$2.26
Bull Telegram’s user base makes TON one of the most-used consumer blockchains, and crypto markets are much larger $25–40B $4.72–$7.55

These ranges are especially uncertain because so much rests on decisions by one company and one founder facing legal cases in two countries. Treat them as a way to see what each price would require, not as a forecast.

What forecasters have said

Asset manager CoinShares published an institutional research note on 11 June 2026, using prices from 11 May when the token traded around $2.40. Its 12-month base case was $3.50, with a bear case of $1.00 and a bull case of $7.50. Five months later the price is about half that starting point and much closer to the bear case. The same note flagged the February 2027 unlock as the largest single supply event the token faces and warned it could dominate price action in a weak market.

What to watch

  • Monthly Believers Fund unlocks and exchange inflows around each one.
  • The 21 February 2027 frozen-wallet release and how much reaches exchanges.
  • Active wallets, Mini App payments and stablecoin transfers on TON.
  • Telegram’s validator share and any moves to decentralise it.
  • Durov’s cases in France and Russia.

How to buy GRAM

GRAM is listed on most large exchanges, some of which may still show the old Toncoin name, and it can be bought directly inside Telegram’s wallet in supported regions. No token swap is needed after the rename; messages asking you to “claim” or “convert” to GRAM are scams. Our guide on how to buy Toncoin covers exchanges and wallets, and how to stake TON explains nominator pools and liquid staking. Read what Toncoin is for the network’s background.

FAQ

Did Toncoin change its name?

Yes. After a community vote with 81.22% support, Toncoin became Gram (GRAM) on 15 June 2026. Only the name, ticker and logo changed; the blockchain remains The Open Network, and balances, addresses and staking positions carried over automatically.

Can TON (GRAM) reach $10?

With about 5.3 billion tokens in circulation by 2030, $10 means a market cap of roughly $53 billion, more than 15 times today’s value and about two and a half times the June 2024 peak valuation. It sits above our 2030 bull range.

Will Toncoin go up after the February 2027 unlock?

The release adds about 1.08 billion tokens, around 38% of today’s circulating supply. Unless many of those holders keep their tokens, it is more likely to weigh on the price around the event. Our 2027 ranges already assume the extra supply.

What is the Toncoin price prediction for 2026?

Our base case for the end of 2026 is about $1.10–$1.45, which corresponds to a $3.2–4.2 billion market cap. The bear range is $0.79–$1.03 and the bull range $1.66–$2.07.

How does TON compare with other 2026 layer 1 outlooks?

Like Polkadot, the token fell sharply in 2026 despite major upgrades. Our Polkadot price prediction applies the same supply-based method to DOT.
